Garden and campus-side functions
Universitas, Langenhoven Park, Brandwag and Westdene sit around the University of the Free State, and the function calendar shows it — graduation lunches, res reunions and student-family celebrations alongside the usual home weddings, milestone birthdays and garden receptions. The established stands take full dressed marquees on lawn; complexes across the western suburbs take weighted frame tents on paving. Every winter build adds sidewalls and heaters for the cold Bloem evenings.
Suburbs we cover
The larger garden stands take peg-and-pole marquees and stretch tents; complex courtyards take weighted frame tents. Each group below rigs differently.
Campus belt
Universitas, Brandwag and Westdene — established stands beside UFS. Peg-and-pole and stretch tents on lawn.
Langenhoven Park & Fauna
Newer stands and walled complexes. Weighted frame tents where paving bars pegs.
Waverley & Fichardt Park
Large mature gardens that take a full dressed structure of 100 seats and up.
Pentagon Park, Wilgehof & Gardeniapark
Compact stands suited to the 5m × 5m and 5m × 10m footprints.
Dan Pienaar & Heuwelsig
Ridge-side properties. Exposed lawns need extra ballast against the wind.
Western-suburb rates
A western-suburb hire prices off the setup the stand takes: lawn sites peg, complex courtyards need weight plates instead. The bands below are the metro rates, delivered and rigged inside Bloemfontein.
| Setup | Seats | Typical band |
|---|---|---|
| Stretch tent 5m × 10m on lawn | 30–40 | R1,650–R3,000 |
| Frame tent 5m × 5m on complex paving | 20–25 | R1,850–R2,600 |
| Frame tent 5m × 10m | 50 | R2,800–R4,200 |
| Peg-and-pole 10m × 15m on an established stand | 100 | R4,500–R7,500 |
| Patio gas heater, per unit | — | R350–R550 |
A UFS graduation lunch for 40 guests sits in the first two rows. Budget one heater per 15 to 20 guests for winter dates. Every band and add-on rate is in tent hire prices in Bloemfontein, and complex-paving builds are detailed under frame tent hire in Bloemfontein.
Western-suburb hires draw on the same fleet as the rest of Tent hire Bloemfontein, delivered across the metro on one fee.
